non-profit work
Crystal has done a combination of paid and volunteer work for non-profits, including her role as Blog Editor for The Pixel Project, a global non-profit working to end violence against women, and providing web content writing and social media marketing services for The Halton Women's Centre.
Before launching her own business, Crystal worked for seven years with KTS Systems Group (later Sage Software), where she trained and wrote documentation for fundraising/donor management software.

Crystal is also the author of The Achilles Effect: What Pop Culture is Teaching Young Boys About Masculinity a book she researched and indexed herself.
